On Thursday, April 2 crews shifted lanes of traffic on the southbound I-5 onto the recently widened, outside portion of the freeway. In a few weeks, the contractor will perform a similar transition along the northbound I-5, shifting lanes of traffic onto new pavement on the outside of the freeway. The northbound I-5 traffic shift is tentatively scheduled for April 16. Additional information, including dates and times of closures, will be provided once the schedule for this work is set.
