WHAT: Since shifting traffic onto the new Carmenita Road Bridge, a temporary traffic detour has been implemented at the intersection of Carmenita Road and Firestone Boulevard. This traffic detour has been implemented to improve traffic flow in the area and maintain safe traffic movements. This temporary configuration will be in place temporarily as crews complete construction of the permanent Carmenita Road on and off-ramps to I-5.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC DETOUR INFORMATION:
Traffic on Firestone Boulevard will be limited to one-way southbound; this is illustrated on the map below in blue. Motorists traveling southbound on Firestone Boulevard will not be permitted to turn onto Carmenita Road; instead they will be directed to continue straight through the intersection to continue on Firestone Boulevard. In addition, motorists will not be permitted to turn onto Firestone Boulevard from Alondra Boulevard. To access Firestone Boulevard from Alondra Boulevard, motorists will turn onto Carmenita Road, then turn right onto Firestone Boulevard. This route is illustrated in green on the map.
