On Monday, May 4 the contractor will begin test pile driving activity in eight areas adjacent to the Florence Avenue interchange and the 1-5 freeway on and offramps. While test pile driving activity will only be conducted weekdays, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., crews will work at night to move construction equipment to each location. This work will take approximately two weeks to complete. Please be advised, this work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, construction lighting (when equipment is moved at nighttime). vibration and pounding related to pile driving activity.
Work is complete on the traffic signal at Roseton Avenue and Florence Avenue. The frontage road at Roseton Avenue opened this week, and will allow through traffic onto Florence Avenue, during the upcoming closure of Orr and Day Road. The year-long closure of Orr and Day Road (from just south of the Florence Avenue to just north of Cecilia Street) and Mondon Avenue (between Lakeland Road and Ringwood Avenue) began today on Friday, May 1.
This week crews permanently closed Dolllson Drive (between Quinn Street and southbound 1-5 on-ramp) and the southbound 1-5 freeway on-ramp on Dolllson Drive. In addition, the long-term (approxlmately three year) closure of the southbound 1-5 on-ramp on Florence Avenue also began earlier this week.
