CLOSURE ADVISORIES
➤ Buena Vista Street and San Fernando Boulevard: Southbound Buena Vista Street will be closed between San Fernando Boulevard and Winona Avenue from Friday, December 4, at 10 p.m. to Monday, December 7, at 6 a.m. A detour will be posted. Additionally, there will be intermittent closures of San Fernando Boulevard between Winona Avenue and Lincoln Street during this same period. Flaggers will direct traffic.
These closures are necessary to allow crews to move the southbound Buena Vista Street pedestrian crossing slightly east of its current location and to restripe San Fernando Boulevard to accommodate wide right turns—primarily for truck traffic—from southbound Buena Vista Street to westbound San Fernando Road.
➤ Los Angeles River Bike Path: The Los Angeles River Bike Path between Riverside Drive and just south of the SR-134 overcrossing in the City of Los Angeles will be closed through Spring 2016. A signed detour is posted that directs bike path users to Zoo Drive and Western Heritage Way. See map here.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES for December 4 – 11, 2015
Work will occur during daytime hours unless otherwise noted. Construction activities and closures are subject to change.
➤ PROJECT: SR 134 to Magnolia Boulevard
Alameda Avenue: Construction of concrete bridge barriers.
Alameda Avenue Northbound and Southbound I-5 Ramps: Constructing drainage inlets.
Bridge Construction: Work on Sonora Avenue, Alameda Avenue and Western Avenue Bridges.
➤ PROJECT: Magnolia Boulevard to Buena Vista Street
Buena Vista Pedestrian Crossing: Moving pedestrian crossing from current location to the newly closed Buena Vista Street southbound right turn lane.
Eastbound San Fernando Boulevard: Re-striping to one lane with a large median to allow trucks to continue to make the right turn off of southbound Buena Vista Street to westbound San Fernando Boulevard.
Buena Vista Bridge (Winona Bridge): Installation of falsework on southbound side.
Buena Vista Railroad Bridge: Forming of abutment footings and abutments (supporting structures at the ends of the bridge span).
Buena Vista Ramps: Paving operation between the ramps.
Burbank Western Channel: Backfilling trench operations.
Empire Avenue: Pouring and forming footings for underpass. Retaining wall work.
Walnut Avenue: Closing gap in retaining wall.
Railroad Retaining Wall: Installation of precast wall panels between Hollywood Way and Burbank Boulevard.
Victory Place: Forming of abutments for the bridge and walls; erecting falsework.
Old San Fernando Road Tunnel: Concrete crushing.
Utility Work: Underground utility work at San Fernando Boulevard and East Avenue and Empire Avenue west of Valpreda Street (Wednesday only). Flaggers will be onsite to direct motorists.
CLOSURES for December 4 – 11, 2015
➤ PROJECT: SR-134 to Magnolia Boulevard
+ Intermittent closures of the northbound I-5 Alameda Avenue off- and on-ramps from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
➤ PROJECT: Magnolia Boulevard to Buena Vista Street
+ Southbound Buena Vista Street will be closed between San Fernando Boulevard and Winona Avenue from Friday, December 4, at 10 p.m. to Monday, December 7, at 6 a.m. A detour will be posted.
+ There will be intermittent closures of San Fernando Boulevard between Winona Avenue and Lincoln Street from Friday, December 4, at 10 p.m. to Monday, December 7, at 6 a.m. Flaggers will direct traffic.
+ Up to two lanes of southbound I-5 between Buena Vista Street and Empire Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
+ Intermittent closure of the southbound I-5 Burbank Boulevard off-ramp for equipment loading (night work).
