The contractor paved the median on Imperial Highway in the construction zone east of I-5 on Wednesday, February 13.

On the night of Thursday, Feb. 07, northbound I-5 traffic was shifted to the right onto the new northbound lanes of I-5 from north of Rosecrans Ave. to the Orr & Day railroad overhead in the city of Norwalk. This aligns the mainline lanes with the lanes leading up to the Rosecrans Ave. interchange. In the coming weeks, as weather allows, the contractor will conduct the same operation on southbound lanes. Updates will be posted here and at .

Also in the coming weeks, the contractor will be striping the new median pavement on Imperial Highway; pouring concrete in the bus path; finishing the concrete barrier rails along the new freeway lanes; installing new freeway signs in the median; and installing rock blanket on the Norwalk Blvd. off ramp.

The sidewalk on the east side of Pioneer Blvd. north of Imperial Highway is now partially blocked to allow tile work on the wall of the bridge, but accessible to the public.

As crews work on Imperial Highway, Norwalk Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction may be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
