IMPERIAL HIGHWAY & PIONEER BOULEVARD PROJECT – Week of March 20, 2016

Adoree Street and Frontage Road, have both been opened to through traffic between Imperial Highway and Norwalk Boulevard.

Construction of the retaining wall along Mondon Avenue, between Tina Street and Bayla Street is ongoing. As crews work to complete improvements in this area, access on Mondon Avenue is temporarily limited to local traffic only, as crews work to complete improvements in this area. This work will be conducted weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for the next few weeks.

As crews work on Imperial Highway, Pioneer Boulevard and Norwalk Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction will be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime.

In the coming weeks nighttime closures are planned on Pioneer Boulevard.
Pioneer Boulevard will be closed to all through traffic in both directions underneath I-5, nightly between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday, April 4 through Thursday, April 7. These nightly closures are needed as crews work to construct the new Pioneer Boulevard bridge. Crews will be moving 12 new concrete girders into place; the girders will provide the structural foundation for the new bridge. Additional information will be provided as the closure nears. The closure area is highlighted in red on the map below; motorists will be directed to follow the detour route highlighted in blue.
