Crews are preparing to shift the southbound 1-5 lanes of traffic (between Pioneer Boulevard and the Silverbow Avenue pedestrian bridge), onto new pavement along the widened, outside portion of the freeway. This traffic shift is tentatively scheduled to take place in June 2015. Additional information will be provided once this work is scheduled.
Construction activity is ongoing with several sound walls along the northbound and southbound 1-5. In addition, work continues on the frontage roads along the northbound 1-5 (Adoree Street) and southbound 1-5 (Southbound Frontage Road). The contractor is tentatively scheduled to finish paving work on Adoree Street (between Kalnor Avenue and Paddison Avenue ) the week of May 3. Once work is completed at Kalnor Avenue, crews will shift the work area and temporarlly close Adoree Street between Norwalk Boulevard and Kalnor Avenue.
