Pile driving activity is underway at Pioneer Boulevard and will be conducted weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.; this work will be ongoing for approximately two weeks.
Beginning the week of Nov. 16, Adoree Street (one lane in each direction) will be open to traffic between Imperial Highway and Norwalk Boulevard. Residents are reminded that parking is prohibited on Adoree Street between Imperial Highway and Norwalk Boulevard. South Frontage Road will also be opened to through traffic, between Imperial Highway and San Antonio Drive.
Crews have begun CIDH (cast in drilled hole) activities on Mondon Avenue, between Tina Street and Bayla Street. This work involves drilling holes in the ground to prepare the retaining wall foundations, as part of planned roadway improvements as part of the I-5 Improvement project.
Access on Mondon Avenue is temporarily limited to local traffic only, for approximately the next 10 weeks, as crews work to complete improvements in this area. This work will be conducted weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. For the safety of the public and work crews, “No Through Traffic” signs will be posted on Mondon Avenue at the intersections of Bayla Street and Tina Street.
As crews erect falsework at Imperial Highway at I-5, Imperial Highway will be closed to all through traffic underneath I-5 nightly, Sunday, Nov. 15 through Thursday, Nov. 19, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The detour route is highlighted in blue on the map below, the closure area is shown in red. Crews will place signage in the field to notify the public in advance of these closures.
