Pile driving activity at Imperial Highway is underway and will be conducted weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.; this work should be partially completed by next week. Once crews complete this operation, they will move back to continue pile driving at Pioneer Boulevard. Pile driving at Pioneer Boulevard is expected to take approximately 10 working days and will be conducted weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
A traffic shift on southbound I-5 is scheduled Thursday night, Nov. 5. Crews will shift traffic from the center median toward the outside lanes of the freeway; this work will require a full freeway closure from 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 to 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6. Southbound I-5 will be closed at I-605; motorists will be directed to take the southbound I-605, exit Firestone Boulevard and turn left, turn left on San Antonio Drive to access the southbound I-5 on-ramp. The northbound and southbound I-605 connectors to southbound I-5 will also be closed during this time; motorists will be directed to exit I-605 at Rosecrans Avenue, turn left on San Antonio Drive to access the southbound I-5 on-ramp.
Finally, paving work on Union Street and Norwalk Boulevard has been successfully completed.
