UPDATE: Please note, the information below regarding the Imperial Highway & Pioneer Boulevard Project has been updated. There will be NO closures on Imperial Highway on Monday night, August 14. We apologize for the inconvenience of this morning’s delay in reopening Imperial Highway and are working on a solution to ensure this does not happen again.

*There will be no closures on Imperial Highway on Monday night, August 14.

On Monday night, Aug. 14, crews will begin the nighttime demolition of the old Norwalk Boulevard / San Antonio Drive bridge. As part of this work, Norwalk Boulevard / San Antonio Drive will be closed nightly between Adoree Street and Olive Street. This work will take approximately three weeks to complete. Please be advised this work will be loud and disruptive due to bridge demolition activity and equipment noise.

Closure areas are shown in red on the maps below; detour routes are highlighted in green. Work will be performed Sunday through Thursday nights, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Pile driving activity along I-5 at Pioneer Boulevard and Imperial Highway is ongoing; this work will be conducted weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and will be ongoing intermittently for approximately four more weeks. Please be advised this work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, vibration, and pounding related to pile driving activity.

As crews work on Imperial Highway, Norwalk Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction will be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

For full closure and detour information, please see the Google map below.
