On Friday night, June 24 crews will perform a traffic shift along northbound I-5, to realign northbound traffic from the outside lanes of the freeway, onto the newly constructed center lanes. In addition to performing this traffic shift, the existing northbound I-5 on-ramp at Rosecrans Avenue will close permanently at 9 p.m. Friday, June 24. A new northbound on-ramp will be reconstructed in its place and will open in 2017. In the meantime, motorists can use the newly reopened northbound I-5 on-ramp at Carmenita Road.
Please note, the southbound I-5 full freeway closure that was originally scheduled from 11:59 p.m Thursday, June 23 to 5 a.m. Friday, June 24, has been canceled. The remaining work this week will proceed as scheduled.

- Northbound I-5 Full Freeway Closure – Northbound I-5 will be closed from Carmenita Road to Rosecrans Avenue from 11:59 p.m. Friday, June 24 to 6 a.m. Saturday, June 25. Motorists will be directed to exit northbound I-5 at Carmenita Road and will re-enter northbound I-5 at Imperial Highway.
