SR-14 to Lake Hughes Road
In summer 2017, Caltrans started replacing pavement on the Golden State Freeway (I-5) between State Route 14 and Lake Hughes Road. The project restored the existing pavement with a roadway structural section that will provide a 40-year design life. The restoration strategy will minimize maintenance costs and user delays derived from frequent maintenance and construction operations. The project investment was $171 million. Construction was completed in 2019.
