In Burbank, “old” Empire Avenue at Victory Place is changing from its existing layout (currently it is closed with K-rail at Victory Place). It will become a three-way intersection with stop signs in all directions.
Also, Maria Street will not connect with “old” Empire Avenue. Maria Street will connect with the new section of Empire Avenue.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Stop signs will be installed on southbound Victory Place, northbound Victory Place and eastbound old Empire Avenue.
The date will be announced soon. It is expected in mid-2019 based on the construction schedule for the new I-5 Empire Avenue interchange.
- On old Empire Avenue, eastbound traffic will be able to turn left or right onto Victory Place.
- On Victory Place, northbound traffic will be able to turn left onto old Empire Avenue or continue north on Victory Place.
- On Victory Place, southbound traffic will be able to turn right onto old Empire Avenue or continue south on Victory Place.
- Maria Street will be open for traffic to and from new Empire Avenue.
