Completion of first half of Valley View Ave. Bridge: Opened to traffic Monday, October 7, 2019. Second southbound lane will open by early 2021.
Completion of second half of Valley View Ave. Bridge: Revised to *late 2021.
Target date to open new Valley View Ave. off ramps from NB & SB I-5 and Valley View Ave. on ramp to NB I-5 is late February 2020.
N. Firestone Blvd. reverts to two lanes in each direction east of Valley View Ave.: End of 2021.
N. Firestone Blvd. re-opens between Knott Ave. and Trojan Way: by early 2020.
I-5 Valley View Ave. Interchange projected date of completion: Revised to *end of 2021.

The contractor is constructing the foundation for abutment wall and placing forms over the retaining walls for the Firestone Blvd. ramp where it will connect to the second half of the Valley View Ave. Bridge. Videos below from November 19 and November 26:

The steel girders, rebar, and concrete from the demolished second half of the Valley View Ave. Bridge have been removed for recycling. Workers are now removing falsework (temporary frame support) from the completed first half of the bridge. Videos below show progress from Nov. 11 to Nov. 19:

The contractor has poured the first layer of concrete called “lean concrete base” for a portion of the future Valley View Ave. on ramp to northbound I-5 east of the freeway in Santa Fe Springs. Photos below from December 3:
