The first half of Valley View Ave. Bridge opened to traffic on Monday, October 7, 2019 with one lane in each direction. A second lane opened to traffic on the southbound side of the Valley View Avenue Bridge on Friday, September 18, 2020.

The new Valley View Ave. off ramp from southbound I-5 opened on September 19, 2020.
N. Firestone Blvd. reverts to two lanes in each direction east of Valley View Ave.: End of 2021.
N. Firestone Blvd. re-opened between Knott Ave. and Trojan Way on February 28, 2021.

To adjust city water valves, N. Firestone Blvd. is scheduled to close between Artesia Blvd. and Knott Ave. and Valley View Ave. is scheduled to close between N. Firestone and Alondra Blvd. from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the night of Wednesday, March 3.
Local business access will be permitted at all times. If possible, traffic will be controlled by flagging, rather than closing the roadway. Work will probably be completed and the roads reopened within three hours.
1. The new S. Firestone connector ramp to the Valley View Ave. Bridge is now open to traffic. There is a stop sign at the intersection with the Valley View Avenue Bridge. This will allow traffic to connect from Alondra Boulevard / Marquardt Avenue directly to Valley View Avenue. This will also allow traffic to exit southbound I-5 at the Valley View Avenue off ramp; turn right onto Valley View Avenue; and turn right again onto S. Firestone Boulevard to access businesses between Marquardt Avenue and Artesia Boulevard. Photo of location below. See green arrows:
3. There is now a second lane open to traffic on northbound Valley View Avenue between N. Firestone Boulevard and Alondra Boulevard. Intersection traffic is controlled by permanent signals. Map below:
Workers have been constructing rebar frames for stem walls and covering them with wooden forms in advance of pouring concrete along the deck of the middle section of the second half of the Valley View Avenue Bridge. Concrete has been poured on the south end of the bridge. Video and photos below from February 24:
